The FIA has issued the entry list for the upcoming Formula 1 season, with Manor’s demise confirmed through its omission, two months after entering administration.
Manor finished 11th in last year’s standings, despite making substantial year-on-year progress, and administrators were called in to the operation in early January.
Efforts continued to find a buyer but none was forthcoming, with Manor ceasing trading at the end of January.
Slim hopes remained that Manor could find a way onto the grid, but this prospect has come to an end, with the FIA leaving the team off the entry list issued on Wednesday.
The entry list confirms a 10-team, 20-driver field for 2017, with Toro Rosso still without an official power unit name, suggesting it could brand its Renault engine, as per Red Bull’s approach.
