Sauber has confirmed that it will unveil its 2017 challenger, the C36-Ferrari, on February 20, meaning the team is set to be the first to launch its new Formula 1 car.
Sauber had already informed Motorsport Week that it intended to run its C36-Ferrari, which will use year-old power units from the Italian manufacturer, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the first time during a filming day on February 22, with its launch plans to be determined.
Those plans have now been finalised, with images of the squad's new car set to be released two days before the C36-Ferrari hits the circuit in Spain.
Sauber is therefore set to kick-off a busy week for the sport in the build-up to the opening pre-season test, which begins at the home of the Spanish Grand Prix on February 27.
Renault (February 21), Force India (February 22), Mercedes (February 23), McLaren (February 24), Ferrari (February 24) and Toro Rosso (February 26) will all launch during that week.
Red Bull, Williams and Haas have yet to determine when their new cars will be unveiled.
Sauber, which finished 10th in last year’s championship, has recruited Mercedes protégé Pascal Wehrlein to partner Marcus Ericsson this season.
