Williams driver Felipe Massa says he is hoping to end his Formula 1 career in Abu Dhabi with a “fantastic” result.
The Brazilian is expecting the race at the Yas Marina Circuit to be another “emotional” one, following his last home race at Interlagos.
He crashed out of the Brazilian GP in tricky wet-weather conditions, but is optimistic his F1 career will come to a close on a more positive note.
“It’s going to be another emotional one,” he said. “You try not think about it too much when you’re in the car, you just try to do as good a job as you can.
“It’s a really nice track to drive, there are lots of fans who really enjoy themselves at the track and outside of the track and it is, of course, a twilight race which is interesting for us and everyone watching.
“I really hope the final, and 250th race of my Formula 1 career, can be a fantastic one. We will of course have a big party! Hopefully we can celebrate with a great result.”
Massa debuted in F1 with Sauber in 2002 before a long stint at Ferrari from 2006-2013. He moved to Williams in 2014, which is the team he will end his F1 career with.
