Esteban Gutierrez has been hit with a five-place grid penalty for impeding Pascal Wehrlein during final practice for the Belgian Grand Prix on Saturday morning.
The Haas driver slowed as exited Eau Rouge and through Raidillon as the Manor of Wehrlein approached, catching the German by surprise. Wehrlein had to take avoiding action by driving over the grass to avoid colliding with the Mexican.
Wehrlein expressed his feelings over team radio, calling Gutierrez a "f***ing idiot" before adding "what is he doing?".
The incident was investigated after the session and the stewards later confirmed a five-place penalty as well as adding three penalty points to Gutierrez's superlicence.
The Haas driver qualified P13, and will therefore start P18.
The stewards also looked at the incident involving Kevin Magnussen and Sebastian Vettel, but decided to take no further action.
