Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg will "come back very strong" after the summer break according to team boss Toto Wolff.
The German has won just one of the previous seven races, helping team-mate Lewis Hamilton to turn a 43-point deficit into a 19-point championship lead as the Briton has gone on to win all but one.
Although Wolff believes Hamilton is "unbeatable" on a good day, he says it would be unwise to discount Rosberg when just under half the season still remains and expects 31-year-old will hit back at the next race in Belgium.
"He can recover [the deficit]," Wolff is quoted as saying by Autosport. "We saw him start the season extremely well, and at the end of the season in 2015 he was very good.
"There are still nine races to go, with still over 200 points to collect, and anything goes.
"He's mentally very strong, and nothing's done yet. Once he has recovered in the next couple of days I have no doubt he will come back very strong at Spa."
Wolff added that he's interested to see who seizes the advantage after the summer shutdown and whether they can keep up that momentum until the end of the season.
"I really admire the way it's going, the ping pong between these two, and the way they keep coming back," he said.
"I will be interested to see how it's going to pan out after the summer break."
