Formula 1’s tyre supplier Pirelli has announced the tyre compounds it will take to September’s Italian Grand Prix.
The Italian manufacturer will bring the medium, soft and super-soft compounds to the Monza circuit.
One set of the medium and soft tyres must be reserved for the race and one of these must be used.
Meanwhile one set of the softest nominated tyre – the super-soft – must be saved for Q3.
Each driver is then free to pick the remaining 10 sets of tyres for the Italian GP race weekend.
Pirelli must nominate the compounds eight weeks prior to the event for European rounds, with a deadline 14 weeks beforehand for fly-away races.
It will be the sixth time this tyre combination has been used at a race weekend when the event takes place.
