Sebastian Vettel has described Ferrari's European Grand Prix in Baku as a "great recovery" after finishing the race in second place.
The German driver struggled in practice but qualified third and advanced to a clear second place in the race.
"It was a great job for us today," Vettel explained. "Already by the end of yesterday the car was coming alive.
"We were struggling a bit [during practice] on Friday, but to see where we are now, it's a great recovery. It's our second, second place in a row.
"We're two times in a row on the podium now after Canada, which is great, scoring some good points. I think the pace is there, the car is good and we're coming along."
Team-mate Kimi Raikkonen was fourth on the road, retaining the position despite a five-second time penalty for crossing the pitlane entry line: "Overall I’m a bit disappointed with how difficult this weekend was.
"In the race the car was good and the speed was there. At one point I ran over the white line and got a penalty. From that moment I tried to keep the gap to [Sergio] Perez to maintain my position, but on a couple of occasions I ended up following two lapped cars and lost precious time.
"I could have for sure stayed in front of Perez but there was no reason to fight and maybe take some risks. Obviously my race could have been a different story today, but considering all that happened, the end the result is not too bad."
Raikkonen was also given two penalty points on his license for crossing the pitlane entry line during the race.
