Max Verstappen topped the timing screens on the final day of the Barcelona in-season test for Red Bull just days after winning his first ever race at the same circuit.
The 18-year-old posted a best time of 1m23.267s to almost match Sebastian Vettel's chart-topping time on the opening day of the test – though it was still 1.2 seconds adrift of Lewis Hamilton's pole time as teams chose to instead test new parts rather thn focus on overall pace.
McLaren's Stoffel Vandoorne performed well, finishing second quickest and breaking the 100-lap mark along with all but two runners.
A last-minute call-up saw Pascal Wehrlein driving for Mercedes on the second day. He wound up third quickest, completing the most laps at 132, as he evaluated new parts for the season ahead, including a new suspension set-up.
Esteban Gutierrez took over from Romain Grosjean on the final day to finish fourth ahead of Antonio Fuoco, who completed the top ten for Ferrari.
Manor's Jordan King was slowest of the ten runners and one of two not to reach the 100-lap mark along with Williams' Felipe Massa, though both came close.
