Pirelli has announced the tyre compound choices for the next round of the 2016 Formula 1 season in Spain, with Ferrari and Mercedes taking different approaches to the weekend.
Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen will have one more set of the soft tyre compared to the Mercedes duo, who have opted to go with five medium compounds instead.
One set of the hard tyre and one set of the medium compound have been allocated for the race, while one set of softs have been put aside for Q3. Drivers can then choose the remaining 10 sets they bring to each race.
Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have gone for one set of the hard tyre, five sets of mediums and seven sets of softs, compared to the two Ferraris, who have opted for one more set of softs instead of a fifth medium tyre.
Elsewhere, Haas have opted for eight sets of soft tyres, although Romain Grosjean will have two sets of the hard tyre and three mediums, whereas Esteban Gutierrez has just one set of the hard compound and four mediums.
