Lewis Hamilton says he is not interested in remaining involved in Formula 1 when he eventually retires from the sport, adding that he has no desire in becoming a TV pundit.
While Hamilton has no intention of retiring from F1 in the near future, with his current contract with Mercedes set to expire in 2018, he will not pick up the commentators microphone once his racing career is over.
Recently the Briton has stated that he promotes the sport more than any other driver, insisting that he owes it nothing.
"I've been racing two thirds of my life so no doubt I'm going to be missing it, but I'm not going to come back,” Hamilton told Sky Sports F1.
“I don't want to come back and watch someone else drive the car I was driving. There is so much other stuff I can do.
“I don't want to be a commentator or stay and be in the sport, it is just not for me.
“It has been my opinion for a long time.
“I feel like there is a lot of people who are still in the sport, they just can't let go, I'm like 'let go already’”.
Away from F1 Hamilton has an exuberant lifestyle, with hobbies involving music and fashion keeping him well occupied outside of race weekends
