Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has revealed which three compounds it has made available for the Monaco Grand Prix in late-May.
The ultrasoft compound will make its debut on the streets of Monte Carlo and will be joined by the soft and supersoft options – Pirelli's three softest compounds.
Of those three options, each driver must use one set of soft and supersoft tyres during the race – these have therefore been reserved by Pirelli – as has a set of the purple ultrasoft tyres which must be used in Q3.
Those cars which fail to make it through to Q3 can keep their set of the softest tyre for the race, whilst the top eight cars must return them to Pirelli.
Teams and drivers are then free to choose the 10 remaining tyre sets from the 13 allocated for each race.
