The first ever Haas F1 car, the VF-16, has hit the track for the first time on the opening day of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Following the 2016 machine’s online reveal on Sunday, the car was officially uncovered in the pit lane at the Spanish circuit, prior to the opening morning of testing.
Drivers Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez were on hand to take the covers off the Ferrari-powered VF-16.
The car already completed a lap of the track on a filming day last week, but made its public debut an hour after the green light for the morning session to begin.
Grosjean went out for one tour of the Spanish Grand Prix venue, before returning to the pits. The Frenchman moved to the team following four seasons at Lotus.
The car then completed a three-lap run a little while later, with Grosjean setting its first ever lap time – a 1:29.310.
Day one of winter testing is underway in Spain, with several new cars being revealed. Follow all of the action with live text.
