Red Bull Racing has unveiled the new livery its 2016 Formula 1 car will sport this season in an event in London.
While the team’s 2016 car will not be publicly seen until pre-season testing kicks of at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya next week, the team pulled the wraps off its new livery, in association with new partner Puma, on Wednesday.
Following Red Bull’s split with Renault, the team had ditched the purple colours of former partner Infiniti, instead opting for a matte dark blue livery.
The livery prominently features the bold red and yellow colours of the Red Bull brand, again, in a deep matte finish, with the Red Bull name emblazoned across the sidepod of the car.
"It feels like a new era for the team, with a sharp new livery that's distinctive and is going to stand out on track," said team boss Christian Horner.
"Over the years we evolved a certain look but with the clean sheet of paper we had this time we decided to do something very different.
"It's innovative and aggressive. It looks right and things that look good tend to go well, so hopefully we'll see that on track."
Red Bull Racing has an unchanged driver line-up, with Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat set to race for the team again in 2016.
