Renault are the latest team to pass the FIA's mandatory crash tests ahead of pre-season testing in late-February, confirming so on Twitter.
The Enstone team, which is currently known as Lotus, was recently taken over by the French manufacturer and it's likely a name change will happen later this month.
It is now the third team after Haas and Manor to receive the green-light to go testing, as passing the crash tests is now mandatory before the new chassis can take to the track.
The car will be driven by Pastor Maldonado and Jolyon Palmer, though doubt has been cast over the former's position in the team with news that sponsorship payments are overdue.
Chassis homologation: DONE. That was a ‘hole’ lot of fun. (We know, we know. Stop it. It is a good one, isn’t it?) pic.twitter.com/qsHiYvqwY9
