Kimi Raikkonen has dropped another place on the starting grid for the Mexican Grand Prix after Ferrari chose to install a second new engine in his car after qualifying.
The Finnish driver qualified 15th, but was relegated to 18th after changing his gearbox and engine when it caught fire during final practice.
He will now use a brand new power unit for the race – his sixth of the season – dropping him another ten places, plus another five apiece for a new turbo, MGU-H, battery unit and control electronics, totalling 30 places.
However he will drop just one place, placing him behind Fernando Alonso’s McLaren, but ahead of Jenson Button, whose record breaking 70 place penalty ensures he starts last.
