Lewis Hamilton won the Italian Grand Prix in dominant style, leading from pole position to the checkered flag with a 25-second advantage over second placed Sebastian Vettel.
The Briton went unchallenged as he controlled the race, but late drama unfolded in the closing laps as the team asked him to pick up the pace to create a gap without offering an explanation to Hamilton.
Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg didn’t see the checkered flag after his engine went up in flames with just a handful of laps remaining, he had been running third at the time.
