Jenson Button looks set to struggle during the Canadian Grand Prix. The Briton is already starting the race from last after he failed to qualify and will now take a drive-through penalty during the race.
Honda have opted to change his engine, MGU-H and turbo charger after he was forced to miss qualifying on Saturday.
He is now on his fourth engine and fifth of some components, therefore due to starting last or possibly the pit lane he can’t drop any further so he has received a drive-through instead of grid penalty.
He warned that he’s in for a long and probably lonely race on Sunday.
“I was looking forward to qualifying,” he said. “It was disappointing to miss it, therefore, but it happens – and we’ll make the best of it tomorrow.
“It’ll be a long race, but I’m already looking forward to it.”
