British Grand Prix organisers are expecting a record breaking sell-out crowd this year, which will see an estimated 150,000 fans pass through the gates on Sunday alone.
Silverstone managing director Patrick Allen confirmed that 95 per cent of tickets for the race have already been sold following a number of initiatives aimed at making it cheaper and easier for families to attend.
This is despite increased capacity for the 2015 event, which will see more seats and general admission available at popular viewing points such as Club and Becketts corner.
“Thanks to recent pricing initiatives and opening up the event to make it more affordable for families we are now almost full,” confirmed Allen.
“Demand has been tremendous and we are 95 per cent sold and predicting that 2015 will be a record breaking crowd.”
