FP2: Hamilton recovers to top second practice

Lewis Hamilton recovered from engine troubles in first practice to post the fastest lap so far, putting him top on Friday in Malaysia.

– High temperatures led to some cars struggling for grip as the track reached a high of 60ºC, hotter than anything seen in 2014.

– Sebastian Vettel finished seventh fastest following a spin at Turn 11.

– McLaren’s Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button were 16th and 17th respectively, posting some good mileage, but remain off the pace.

– Roberto Mehri ended up in the gravel bringing out the red flags for Manor.
