McLaren has dropped its high court action against rival team Red Bull, after the two reached a deal over the Canadian Grand Prix weekend.
The Woking team accused Red Bull of enticing aerodynamicist Dan Fallows to remain with them, rather than join McLaren where he had reportedly signed an employment contract.
Christian Horner met with Ron Dennis and the pair agreed a deal which will see Fallows remain at Red Bull and McLaren will no longer pursue its legal action against both parties.
McLaren are believed to have negotiated an early release for Peter Prodromou – who was set to join the team at the start of the 2015 season after handing his notice in at Red Bull.
It’s believed he may be allowed to start at McLaren later this season.
Speaking about the ‘deal’, Horner said: “I have a handshake with Mr Dennis which, being a gentleman and a man of his word, means we have an understanding.”
