Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he and team-mate Nico Rosberg are still friends, despite comments to the contrary, after the pair fell out over the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.
Speaking after the race, Hamilton said of his relationship with Rosberg: “We’re colleagues, not friends.”
However, with Niki Lauda and Toto Wolff among others pushing for the pair to make up and get on with racing on track, the Briton revealed on Twitter than he spoke with Rosberg on Friday and cleared the air.
“We’ve been friends a long time and as friends we have our ups and downs.
“Today we spoke and we’re cool, still friends #noproblem,” read his tweet which included a photo of the pair riding unicycles back in their karting days.
