Amid criticism from some drivers about the sound of the new V6 power units, Jenson Button has told them to go somewhere else if they’re not happy.
Whilst the new cars are much harder to drive thanks to the increased torque from the new engines, they’re unhappy with the quieter sound they create.
Sebastian Vettel described the noise as “shit”, but Button says nobody is forcing him to race the cars.
“Go and race something else if you are not happy,” said the Briton. “As drivers we don’t have an opinion of where the cars are in terms of sound and look.
“When you cross the finish line first you have won a grand prix. You don’t care what it sounds like or what it looks like.
“You have beaten the best in the world and that is all you are about.”
