The Marussia F1 team have yet to agree a new commercial deal with Bernie Ecclestone for the 2013 season and beyond, despite there being just a week until the first race of the season.
All remaining ten teams have signed a new Concorde Agreement, leaving the Russian owned outfit out in the cold, but team principal John Booth says an agreement is “close”.
“We are in active discussion with the Commercial Rights Holder but, as of yesterday, we do not have a signed agreement with them,” he told ESPNF1.
He added: “Nothing is signed yet, but it’s getting pretty close now.”
Without a deal in place, FOM is unable to show footage of the Marussia cars on television, giving Ecclestone and Marussia under a week to agree terms.
“It’s vital for Bernie because he won’t be able to film us without it.”
