A verdict over the Lotus naming rights’ row, which originally went to to court in March, is expected on Friday afternoon.
Mr Justice Peter Smith will deliver the verdict from court 66 in the High Court, London, at 2pm tomorrow.
The case, between Group Lotus PLC and 1Malaysia Racing Team, centres around the use of the ‘Lotus’ name in Formula 1, with both laying claim to the rights’.
A verdict will also be made on whether or not Team Lotus, Lotus racing at the time, breached its licensing deal that it held with Group Lotus during the 2010 season.
Whomever is claimed victor, will be allowed to retain the Lotus brand in the sport, whilst the other is likely to be forced to change their brand name and branding.
