Red Bull may have managed to make using their version of the F- duct work after it has been reported that they plan to use the air-stalling device throughout the entire race weekend.
The Milton Keynes-based squad have tested the device, which stalls air over the back wing and gives a straight line speed advantage, on several occasions but have always insisted that the advantage gained was to little to warrant keeping the device.
However, Autosport reports that the team plan to use the device in Saturday’s qualifying and Sunday’s race sessions.
Both drivers have insisted that they have noticed a difference in straight-line speed and believe that this is the right call to make.
“We all know what advantage you get and, if someone offers you half a second, you would we stupid to say no.” Vettel insisted.
