Ferrari President, Luca di Montezemolo, has admitted he isn’t happy with his teams current pace and development rate which has seen the marque fall down the grid.
Ferrari are currently third behind Red Bull (+25) and McLaren (+26), whilst their drivers are steadily falling down the rankings. Fernando Alonso is in fourth thanks to Vettel’s Turkish GP crash, the German remains just a point behind, whilst Felipe Massa is on par with Renault’s Robert Kubica in sixth.
“Regarding our team development I am not happy at the moment,” he told the BBC.
“At the start of the season we were first and second in the first race at Bahrain. I have pushed my people a lot to recuperate. After the first three races we had been at the top of the world championship. Now we are third [in the constructors’] and fourth [in the drivers’].”
When asked whether or not the team could recover, he replied: “It’s too early to say. Today there’s very tight competition.”
